TrainRite is a side project I’ve created to provide a solution to poor workout and nutrition log books. I firmly believe the success I’ve achieved with my own fitness is completely due to planning, consistency and being able to reference past workouts. For the past two years I’ve been printing and binding my own version of a training journal that worked for me, because there really aren’t many available on the market that I’ve found do the job well. That’s what I’m trying to achieve here. In the past I’ve used scrap paper, generic bound books and cell phone apps. I found that I needed something tailored for the way I like to workout. As it turns out, so do most other people. In no time I was being asked where and how to get these little booklets. That’s why I started TrainRite. And bonus, you can leave your pricey smartphone in the locker with no chance of dropping water or a dumbbell on it.
Today it exists as four different products:
Each journal is shipped with a rotating workout planing sticker that sticks right into the back of the journal. This forces you to plan workouts 2 weeks in advance, so that a well rounded regimen that covers all muscle groups can be achieved. Add in rest days and cardio, and you’ll never be walking around the gym wondering what to do next. This is an extremely powerful tool when planned with care and much variation.
